Forty years ago, Xi Jinping, then Party Secretary of Zhengding County in Hebei Province, led a corn delegation from Shijiazhuang City to Iowa, known as the "America's Breadbasket," to exchange knowledge on corn cultivation and deep-processing technologies. It was through agriculture that he formed a connection with Iowa and developed a deep friendship with its sincere and friendly people.

Forty years on, the seeds of people-to-people friendship between China and U.S. have grown into a towering tree. American youth have continued to visit Zhengding, Hebei, engaging in friendly exchanges with their Chinese peers and experiencing firsthand China's achievements in agriculture, economy, culture, and more.

Today, American youth Emily visits Shijiazhuang Foreign Language Education Group to witness the unforgettable moments between Chinese and American students, and to experience the deep bond that has developed over four decades of people-to-people exchanges between Hebei Province and the state of Iowa.
