Children in the 8th Kindergarten of Julu County of Hebei Province experienced the ancient customs of the Dragon Boat Festival by making rice dumplings, rowing dragon boat on land and making perfume sachets.

The festival, also called the Duanwu Festival, is celebrated in China on the fifth day of the fifth lunar month to commemorate the great patriotic poet Qu Yuan more than 2,000 years ago.
